I love old wood. Wood with character. Gouges, scuff marks, chipped paint... I like it when objects have a history, or show evidence of a former life.
That would explain why I fell in love with the eco-friendly reclaimed wood housewares of Half Pint Salvage. Crafted from old architectural elements—moldings and balusters, windows and cabinet doors—each piece has been given a new life while retaining a bit of its old. Doors become chalkboards and carefully repurposed drawer pulls now hold colorful chalk ready for use. Their shop profile says it best: "Once old, now new. Something salvaged, just for you."
