That title sounds way more thrilling than this post is actually gonna be. You were warned.
I'm in dire need of a haircut. I usually do it myself (and probably will again) but I want something a little different than what I normally do. A little more vintage modern edgy, or something. There's really not a whole lotta options for super curly girls in terms of style, but I found this photo of an inspirational cut (and a totally gorgeous girl- if you can get past her awesome freckly face, do check out her hair)

See, she has hair like mine! But it's a little shorter and more funky layered, like I'd like mine to be. Only there's one major difference. BANGS!
A curly girl with bangs? Tis true? I haven't even uttered the word bangs without cringing since I was in middle school and had bangs that I straightened everyday (with the rest of my hair curly, yes. ick.) You straight haired ladies with those blunt bangs right over your eyebrows, ooh, you've got it made! But curly hair and bangs don't go together. At least I didn't think so until I saw that pic. And then I started searching around and lookie!
Beautiful bangs on beautiful curly girls! Including my idol miss Annie Clark of St Vincent (the rocker up there) although she has much looser curls than I do. Of course these are all super models and stars, of which I am neither, but maybe I could pull some bangs off?
So what do you guys think? High time I bang it up? I'm thinking if I hate them I could always just pin them back for a little 60's style pomp- I tend to do that already with that front section of my hair. I'm a little nervous tho, it takes a long time for my hair to grow. What do you think?
{ps: while we're talking about hair, check out mini me! via earthly beginnings on twitter- hah!}
