The planning, plotting and pining for all the all the things we want to fill our new home has begun. It was built in 1950 so we are hoping to find some vintage mid-century modern and retro furnishings to fill it with- it'll take time (and luck finding the right things!) of course to build up our home to the cuteness potential we know it has, but for now it couldn't hurt to dream about the kind of space we hope to have someday.
First, we're on the hunt for a dining table. The kitchen is 50's retro perfection already with yellow and black tile counters and green checkerboard flooring. So we're looking for the perfect little kitchen table to match- it'll go right by that big window under the funky light fixture. Ideally, we'd love to find a great little 50's era dinette set in minty green or yellow formica with chrome edges.
This would be perfect! & just look at those chairs!

I just gasped and clutched my chest. I might have to steal this from whatever small town diner it's currently residing at, it's too good!

A little fold down table like this would work and not take up too much space- actually, everything in this photo is pretty amazing- can I take one of everything please?

And look at this one prettied up with Fiestaware. We may have to get some of that too.

Hold the phones- this one's the perfect size and that pattern on top is adorable! I may have to steal this one instead (because apparently my perfect table fantasies involve kleptomania)

I'm really itching to go shopping now. We found a few good tables at an antique store this weekend, one was mint colored and perfect! But it was $275 for just the table and we'd have to still find chairs somewhere so...too much for us. The hunt continues!
