If the winter blahs have you blue, I have the perfect cure for you. Clicky click on over to flickr user judwal's photostream. Packed with gorgeous imagery (and yes, these pics are really just a tease for all she has to offer in floral beauty) and color, judwal identifies the subjects in her descriptions, so you can use her work as great inspiration for your own yard!
I love how the subjects are sometimes worn and tattered, just like nature intended, and so much more honest than your every day garden mag.
There's not a lot of info in her profile, but she's a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, and also loves to work in pastels, which I would guess is why her photos are so painterly.
Judwal lists some phrases to live by. Here are a few of my favorites:
* Become a skilled learner. *
* Playing is one of the healthiest things you can do. *
In my mind, I can't help but think those bits of advice, and the inspiration gathered from her images is just the right way to start off the weekend: without those nagging cold weather blues, and with a light heart and an eyeful of color.
Renee Garner has a passion to make things grow, although her brownish
thumb wants her to believe otherwise. When mud pies aren't on the menu,
you can find her doodling the days away at Wolfie and the Sneak.
